Hi. My name is JJ (John James) Swiontek. (It’s pronounced Swan-tech. It’s Polish.)
I’m running for Colorado House of Representatives for District 5.
I am one of four candidates (as of March 16th, 2010) running for this office. The other candidates (in alphabetical order) are:
You might wonder why I am including the names and links for my opponents. Well, I believe that an informed electorate makes the best choices. That is why I want everyone to check-out all 4 of us. Then make the best choice for your representative in the Colorado Legislature.
A little bit about myself:
- Happily married for 28 years (29 years this June 14th);
- 2 kids (both grown);
- Union member, Communication Workers of America (CWA), 31 years;
- Telephone man, 30 years, AT&T;
- Your neighbor, Denver resident, 28 years.
Perhaps our biggest issue
The most important issue is Jobs. The focus of your representative should be jobs, jobs, jobs!
Do you know anyone who is unemployed or wants to do more than part-time work? All of us do. And the best thing for everyone is … a job.
A good job at a good wage.
A job that will keep the food on the table, the roof over our heads and the wolf away from the door.
Vote for me and together we will restore the economy of Colorado!
(If you don’t know which District you are in, then go to www.comaps.org and that site can tell you. You may need to use the USPS zipcode finder to find your full zip code.)
